On World Environment Day, Jackery revealed a new partnership with 4ocean, a renowned environmental organization focused on tackling the plastic pollution crisis. Through their joint efforts, they aim to remove more than 6,800 kilograms of plastic waste from oceans, rivers, and coastlines across the globe.
Jackery is widely recognized for its commitment to providing sustainable energy solutions and has been actively involved in environmental protection through its solar-powered products. This collaboration marks a significant step in their mission, extending their impact from clean energy to active participation in ecological restoration.
Plastic pollution continues to pose a severe threat to the planet. According to the World Economic Forum, over 200 million tons of plastic are already present in our oceans, with an additional 400 million tons added yearly. If left unchecked, these numbers could triple by 2050, with dire consequences for marine life, biodiversity, food security, and the livelihoods of millions.
4ocean has been at the forefront of addressing this issue since 2017, systematically removing over 15,400 tons of plastic waste from marine environments. Their Certified Cleanup Partner program collaborates with responsible businesses to fund these crucial cleanup activities, promoting a transition towards a circular economy.
Stefan Jachmann, Sales Director at Jackery, emphasized the broader scope of environmental innovation, stating, “It must go beyond product development to include tangible actions.” This partnership harmonizes their shared vision of protecting nature through renewable energy and active participation in ecological recovery.
As environmental challenges escalate, Jackery is proud to contribute to real solutions. By merging cutting-edge solar technology with ocean conservation efforts, both Jackery and 4ocean take steady steps towards a cleaner, healthier planet.
