Realme has announced the GT 7, GT 7T, and a special GT 7 Dream Edition in global markets, focusing on battery life, fast charging, and design. The phones introduce new MediaTek processors and unique features, including a collaboration with the Aston Martin F1 team.

Realme GT 7 Series Goes Global with Large Batteries and Fast Charging

Realme has officially launched its GT 7 and GT 7T smartphones in markets worldwide, following weeks of anticipation and early retailer listings. Alongside these models, the company introduced the GT 7 Dream Edition, a special version created in partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One Team.

Power-Packed Performance

Both the GT 7 and GT 7T place a clear emphasis on battery life and performance. Each device comes equipped with a massive 7,000mAh battery, supporting 120W wired charging, which Realme says can fill to half in just 14 minutes and reach full capacity in about 40 minutes. The inclusion of a large vapor chamber with graphene-based cooling helps keep temperatures under control even during extended gaming or streaming marathons.

New Processors and Generous Memory

The Realme GT 7 debuts with MediaTek’s fresh Dimensity 9400e chip, while the slightly more affordable GT 7T is powered by the Dimensity 8400-Max. Both phones offer up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The GT 7 Dream Edition stands out with 16GB RAM and exclusive design flourishes.

Displays Built for Entertainment

Both devices sport AMOLED screens measuring 6.78 inches, with a high 1.5K resolution and up to 6,000 nits of peak brightness. There is support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, making the phones well-suited for media consumption and mobile games. Gorilla Glass 7i protection enhances durability.

Camera Systems: Versatile but Not Top of the Class

The GT 7 features a triple rear camera setup, headlined by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 sensor with optical image stabilization. There is also a 50MP 2x telephoto lens and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, while selfies are captured with a 32MP front camera. The GT 7T pares this down to a dual rear camera, with a 50MP Sony IMX896 main unit, an 8MP ultra-wide, and the same 32MP selfie shooter. Both phones offer several AI-powered photography features, including glare removal and advanced landscape modes. While competent, the camera systems focus more on flexibility than taking the absolute best shots in their class.

Durability, Design, and Aston Martin Inspiration

The new GT 7 series comes with IP69 water and dust resistance, making them exceptionally rugged for daily use. Realme has leaned into design as a major selling point. There are IceSense Black, IceSense Blue, and for the GT 7T, a Racing Yellow colorway with vegan leather. The Dream Edition, however, distinguishes itself with Aston Martin’s Racing Green, aerodynamic lines inspired by Formula One, and the iconic Silver Wings badge. The special packaging includes a custom case and a racecar-themed SIM tool, appealing to motorsport enthusiasts.

Software and Updates

Both the GT 7 and GT 7T run Android 15 with Realme UI 6.0 out of the box. The company promises four years of major OS upgrades and six years of security patches, matching expectations for premium Android handsets today. The user interface includes a suite of AI features such as translation, glare removal, and voice assistance.
