OnePlus Unveils Ace 5 Racing Edition and Ace 5 Ultra Ahead of Launch
OnePlus is preparing to expand its smartphone portfolio with the introduction of two new models: the Ace 5 Racing Edition and the Ace 5 Ultra. The company has officially confirmed that both phones will launch in China on May 27 at 2:30pm local time. These devices aim to deliver powerful hardware and notable software advancements for tech enthusiasts and gamers alike.
Design, Display, and Color Options
According to promotional images leaked ahead of launch, both the Ace 5 Racing Edition and Ace 5 Ultra feature flat displays with slim bezels and a punch-hole front camera. The rear design sports a dual-camera arrangement and is available in a range of colors. The Ace 5 Ultra comes in Breeze Blue, Burning Titanium, and Phantom Black, while the Racing Edition is offered in Chasing Waves White, Rock Black, and Wild Green.
Performance and Gaming Features
At the heart of these new phones are the latest MediaTek Dimensity chipsets. The Ace 5 Ultra is powered by the high-end Dimensity 9400+, and the Racing Edition uses the newly announced Dimensity 9400e. To meet the demands of mobile gamers, both devices include dedicated gaming-oriented chips: Fengchi for enhanced gaming performance, Lingxi for improved touch sensitivity, and G1 for robust Wi-Fi connectivity. These additions focus on eliminating frame drops and connectivity issues during gaming sessions.
Battery and Unique Features
OnePlus is equipping both models with batteries exceeding 7,000 mAh, thanks to advanced silicon-carbon battery technology. This move should offer impressive battery life even under demanding use. Additionally, the Ace 5 Ultra (also known as the Ace 5 Extreme Edition) includes the new customizable Plus Key, giving users more control over device functions—a feature absent in the Racing Edition model.
