iQOO Unveils Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro Tablets
iQOO, the performance-focused sub-brand of Vivo, has officially launched its latest Android tablets—the iQOO Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro—in China. These devices aim to cater to users seeking immersive entertainment and serious productivity, thanks to large high-refresh-rate displays, powerful chipsets, and a growing set of accessories.
Flagship Hardware and Vibrant Displays
- iQOO Pad 5: Features a 12.1-inch 2.8K LCD panel (2800 x 1968), up to 900 nits brightness, and a fast 144Hz refresh rate. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.
- iQOO Pad 5 Pro: Steps up to a 13-inch 3.1K LCD (3096 x 2064) with up to 1,200 nits brightness, the newer MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor, and up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
Both tablets promise smooth visuals for gaming and video, and support Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and up-to-date connectivity.
Audio, Cameras, and Battery Life
- The Pad 5 offers a 6-speaker system, an 8MP rear and 5MP front camera, and a 10,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging.
- The Pad 5 Pro boasts eight speakers for a more immersive sound, a 13MP rear and 8MP front camera, and a massive 12,050mAh battery with 66W charging.
Both models run OriginOS 5 based on Android 15 and bring enhanced cooling designs for sustained performance.
Next-Gen Stylus: The iQOO Pencil 3
Alongside the tablets, iQOO introduced the iQOO Pencil 3 stylus. It boasts ultra-low latency for responsive writing and drawing, as well as remarkable 10,000 pressure levels—higher than many well-known styluses on the market. The Pencil 3 features a white cylindrical design with a flat edge to prevent rolling, removable tip, and wireless magnetic charging.
This advanced stylus is compatible with the new Pad 5 lineup, emphasizing creative and productivity use cases. It retails for CNY 499 (around $69), and keyboard cases and magnetic covers are also available as add-ons.
Expanded iQOO Ecosystem: Watch 5 and TWS Air3
The launch also included:
- iQOO Watch 5: A feature-rich smartwatch based on the vivo Watch 5 with AMOLED display, GPS, NFC, optional eSIM, and up to 22 days battery life.
- TWS Air3 Earbuds: Semi-open design, 12mm drivers, spatial audio, Bluetooth 6.0, and 45-hour battery rating with IP54 dust/water resistance.
Pricing and Availability
The iQOO Pad 5 starts at CNY 2,399 (about $333), while the Pad 5 Pro begins at CNY 3,199 (about $443). Both are available in multiple RAM/storage configurations and three color options. Accessories like the stylus and keyboard cases are sold separately, enhancing the ecosystem.
